The Idea
The technology behind a website can be complicated. The reason someone needs one usually isn’t. A business might need a professional online presence. A creator might need a portfolio. A small organization might simply need a place to share information. They don’t necessarily need a custom software project. They need a website. So instead of starting every website from scratch, WEBIKIN takes a more focused approach: a defined setup process, curated templates, and a clear scope.

Customers purchase and own their own domain and hosting. The website stays on infrastructure they control.
02 — Choose a Template
Instead of starting with a blank canvas, customers choose a template based on their industry, website type, or preferred style.
03 — We Set It Up
MGS handles the WordPress setup and configures the selected template using WordPress and Elementor, together with the customer’s content and visual direction.
04 — Get Your Website
Once everything is ready, the website is handed over. Customers can continue editing and managing their website themselves.

A System, Not a Blank Canvas
WEBIKIN is intentionally not a fully custom web development service. Starting every website from zero offers maximum flexibility, but it also makes projects harder to estimate, slower to build, and more expensive to maintain. WEBIKIN takes the opposite approach. By using a curated template system and a defined workflow, the product can provide a more predictable experience while still allowing each website to have its own identity. he templates provide the starting point. The customer’s content, branding, imagery, and direction make the website their own.

The product is built around technologies that are already familiar and accessible. WordPress provides the content management foundation, while Elementor makes visual editing easier after the setup is complete. The goal isn’t to introduce another complicated website platform. It’s to make existing technology work within a simpler, more focused experience.
Why We Built It
For Map Grid Studio, WEBIKIN is also an exploration of how a creative service can become a product. Instead of reinventing the workflow for every website, we built a system that can be reused, improved, and expanded over time. That means creating the templates, defining the scope, organizing the discovery experience, and refining the setup process as the product grows. The result is a website service with a clearer boundary between what the customer needs and what the system handles behind the scenes.
The Name
WEBIKIN comes from a simple wordplay:
WEB + BIKIN
It can also be read as:
WE BIKIN.
Casual, direct, and very Indonesian.
And the tagline says the rest:
MAU WEB? BIKIN.
What’s Next
WEBIKIN is designed to evolve. The foundation gives MGS room to expand the template library, improve the onboarding experience, and refine the setup process without losing the simplicity that defines the product. The goal isn’t to add complexity just because we can. It’s to make getting a website better.
